SECURITY UPDATE
Passengers arriving at Leeds Bradford International Airport should be aware that the area in front of the terminal building is currently closed to vehicles, other than public transport buses and authorised hackney carriage vehicles.
Due to increased security measures all other vehicles, on approach to the airport terminal building, will be directed into the appropriate car parks.
Customers parking for over 24 hours will be directed into the long stay car park.
Customers parking for the day will be directed to the short stay car park.
Vehicles requiring to drop off or pick up passengers( including private hire vehicles) will be directed into the short stay car park .There is no free parking, however, the car park has a transit grace period when no charge is made. The period is adequate to allow immediate drop off and pick up. Use the entry ticket promptly in the exit barrier to leave the car park. Do not put the ticket into a payment machine otherwise a charge will be made.
Blue badge holders may continue to use the designated spaces within the short stay car park.
Yorkshire Executive members will be allowed access to their car park on production of their car park permit and identifiable windscreen sticker.
Cabin Baggage
Passengers are advised that they are permitted to carry ONE item of cabin baggage within individual airline regulation sizes but not exceeding the dimensions of56cm x 45cm x 25cm (including wheels, handles, side pockets etc).

With effect from 0200hrs on Monday 6 November 2006, limited amounts of liquid will be allowed through security search point provided that:
- It is in a container with a capacity no greater than 100ml
- It is carried within one transparent, re-sealable plastic bag with a capacity not exceeding 1 litre; the dimensions for which must not exceed 8" x 8"
- The contents of the plastic bag must fit comfortably and the bag must be completely closed
- The plastic bag must be carried seperately from hand baggage
- The passenger is responsible for providing their own plastic bag. Plastic bags that do not meet the correct criteria will be required to be packed into hold baggage at the time of check in. Alternatively, the correct bag can be purchased from Superdrug
Liquids Include:
Cosmetics, gels, pastes, lotions, liquid/solid mixtures and the contents of pressurised containers, e.g. toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, perfume, deodorant, shaving foam aerosols etc.
Essential medicines in liquid form sufficient for the trip as long as they are verified as authentic.
Baby milk/food sufficient and essential for the trip (the contents of each bottle or jar must be tasted by the accompanying passenger)
Musical Instruments
Passengers are also permitted to carry one musical instrument in its case (no items other than the instrument and its accessories may be carried in the case) provided that the instrument in question in its case cannot be carried within the one piece of permitted cabin baggage.
